Preparation guide

First impressions matter! The photos of your home are what grab your attention and create interest in viewing. The better prepared your home is before the photo shoot, the stronger the impression will be. Small adjustments can make a big difference – declutter, create air and let in natural light to show your home at its best!

Generelt

  • Clean and wash all rooms

  • Remove all personal belongings (this is so that the buyer can envision a future home here)

  • Wash all surfaces, including mirrors and windows.

Kitchen

  • Hide items such as kitchen appliances, shelves, and bread boxes.

  • Feel free to display fresh herbs and/or fruit, and a cookbook.

  • Hide detergent, brooms and cloths.

Living room

  • Hide personal belongings and items such as remote controls, newspapers, and family photos.

  • Feel free to decorate with fresh flowers and/or candles.

  • Furniture that is open and shows a lot of floor space, to create a larger feeling of space. Large furniture such as armchairs, chests of drawers, shelves and speakers can often be removed to create a more inviting and spacious atmosphere

Outdoor area

  • Clean and make the property as well-kept as possible

  • Maintain the outdoor area (flowers, shrubs, mow the lawn, rake leaves and shovel snow).

  • Set out garden furniture.

  • Remove loose objects such as toys and bicycles.

Bath

  • Put away personal items

  • Put away cosmetics and shampoo bottles, jewelry, hair dryers and the like.

  • Feel free to hang towels if you have hooks, or fold them if you have open shelves.

  • Hide detergent, brooms and cloths.

  • Wash mirrors with suitable cleaning agents, not just water. Washing with just water can have the opposite effect and will make the mirror look worse with scuff marks.

Bedroom

  • Clean and make the property as well-kept as possible

  • Maintain the outdoor area (flowers, shrubs, mow the lawn, rake leaves and shovel snow).

  • Set out garden furniture.

  • Remove loose objects such as toys and bicycles.

Entrance

Feel free to leave a jacket and a pair of shoes, but otherwise it's fine to clear away personal belongings.

Evening photo

  • Turn on the lighting

  • Light a candle

  • Feel free to use string lights on balconies, as well as lanterns around balconies.

  • Light a fire in a fire pan if applicable.
